Gay Football Supporter's Network
Supporting
As the name suggests, the Gay Football Supporters' Network was originally formed in 1989 as a supporter's network - where like-minded fans could get in contact with each other
With the advent of the internet, a vast playing social network, and - some could argue - a more tolerant society, the aims and objectives of the organisation have developed over time.
But one objective that will always remain at the core of the organisation is the Supporting side.
Supporting your team can be a fantastic experience, especially if they're winning. It can also be the cause of heartache and suffering if your team aren't doing so well, of course!
The GFSN has nearly 400 members all supporting an array of clubs around the world (117 different clubs to be precise).
It is a loyal but expensive business following your team week-in, week-out but we'd be grateful to hear of your experiences of being a football fan.
Members can use our Club Directory, to find other supporters across the country. Some supporters can offer accommodation for travelling football fans, which is a great way to make new friends around the UK as well as cut down on costs.
The GFSN has also been involved with The Football Association.
In 2007 members of the GFSN attended a "Fan Liasion Workshop" at Charlton Atheltic, with the aim of GFSN members attaching to their club to advise on LGB matters.
